"I wouldn't be who I am without my scars."
When you see a Victoria's Secret Angel on the runway, "imperfection" is maybe the farthest word from your mind. But even when someone is seemingly perfect, that's never actually the case because what is perfect anyway? On Twitter, Martha Hunt served up a much needed reminder that it's the differences between us that make us beautiful.
Martha tweeted about her scars, letting the world know that she's proud of hers because they make her unique and strong. Instead of trying to hide her "imperfections," Martha wrote that she happily displays the long scar down her back and the one on her abdomen.
"Scars are uniquely beautiful and they tell a triumphant story about you. I have a long one down my back and one on my lower right abdomen," Martha tweeted. "I wouldn't be who I am without my scars. What are yours? I urge you to wear them with pride. #imperfectionisbeautiful"
